2. Annual Spring/Fall Pottery & Glass Festival at Cedar Creek Gallery - (April & October)

butner4. Annual Butner Chicken Pickin’ - (June)
Get things started on the First Friday of June with live music at the Soldier’s Memorial Gym in Butner and then head out to Central Avenue on Saturday for a day full of good food, music, arts & crafts and one of the best antique car shows around.  www.bcaserves.org  

 

fireworks5. Annual 4th of July Fireworks at Lake Holt - (July)
Enjoy a wonderful light show over one of the prettiest place in the county, Lake Holt in Butner.  Head up to the rolling hills that surround the lake to get the best view. www.butnernc.org  

 

hot6. Annual NC Hot Sauce Contest & Festival - (September)
Every 2nd Saturday in September, thousands lock to the streets of downtown Oxford to meet the heat and try some of best NC hot sauces, BBQ sauces, craft beer and wine.  There is a Hot Pepper Eating Contest, Top 50 Car Show, children’s activities & more.  www.nchotsaucecontest.com

 

music7. Annual Creedmoor Music Festival - (September)
Take a stroll down Main Street in downtown Creedmoor where fair food and music lovers meet once a year on the 3rd Saturday in September. Two stages will offer music from local and regional bands and much more. www.cityofcreedmoor.org/musicfestival  

 

farm8. Annual Lord Granville Harvest Show- (October)
This festival is put on by the Lord Granville Agricultural Heritage Association, to give visitors a look back in time at the way Granville County used agriculture as a way of life. The event is held in Butner and features antique tractors, parade of power, old time cooking, farm shop, children’s play area and much more. www.lgaha.com   

 

train9. Masonic Home for Children Homecoming Festival - (October)
Every year Oxford welcomes home all of its Masonic Home for Children Alumni in the fall. haunt10.  Granville Haunt Farm – (October)
This farm is full of tricks & treats for the whole family.  During the day on Saturdays & Sundays in October, you can “Get Lost” in a 7 acre maze that includes check points and a mystery game.  Then, from sunset to 11pm on Fridays & Saturdays dare yourself to go through the corn maze, a 5 acre haunted trail with guaranteed scares or the paintball hayride in which you get to shoot live zombies. www.granvillehauntfarm.com
