As the air begins to get cooler things are beginning to heat up in Granville. Summer may be over, but there are still a number of great fall events and activities that will make you FALL in love with our community.
The Hub on Main, formerly Stovall's Gifts, is a local shop located in downtown Oxford that offers craft beer, fine wine, specialty gifts and gourmet coffee, tea and food. In addition, they offer women's fashions and accessories, menswear and accessories, cigars, holiday and outdoor decorations.

Vino Oasi is a relaxing, rustic destination to enjoy any special occasion and an upcoming vineyard in Stem. They host several events during the fall season. On November 29th, Dec 6th & 20th they will host Wine Down Wednesdays. Stop by after work and bring new neighbors, friends and family to tour the space, while enjoying some nibbles from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Beer and wine available for purchase.

Granville County Gobblers will host Granville County Gobblers Youth Day on Saturday, November 19th at Carlee Farm from 1 pm to 4 pm. Come out for an exciting afternoon of fishing, archery, air rifle shooting, horseshoes, and many more activities. Learn about sportsmanship, outdoor safety, and environmental education all while having fun! This is a FREE event, open to all kids ages 2-17. There will be hot dogs and refreshments. Oxford United Methodist Church, College St., Oxford will host 13th Annual Turkey Trot on November 23rd. This event is a 2 mile walk/run for ACIM (Area Congreations in Ministry) Food Pantry. There will be an 8:30 am registration and at 9 am the Turkey Trot will begin. The Entry Fee is 2 cans of food or monetary donation. Come out for a fun morning as we give thanks and help others. Come join Thorndale Oaks in Oxford for their 3rd Annual Turkey Ball on Wednesday, November 22nd from 8 pm to 11 pm. Light Appetizers will be served and for entertainment our favorite DJ , DJ Jay will be performing! The Granville County Library System will host several programs that cover science, arts and history this months. Events include:
- Geology of the Upper Tar River Basin on November 16th 4 pm to 5 pm at Thornton Library in Oxford.
- Shutter Art Gallery by local artist R F Timberlake. Exhibit at Thornton Library from November 15 - January 15. Reception on November 19th from 2 pm to 4 pm. The artist will have a drawing to giveaway the portrait pictured to the left.
- Native American Artifacts presented by Dr. Randal "Walking Bear" Downey on November 20th from 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm at Thornton Library.
- Native American and Their Use of the Environment discussion led by Dr. Anne Rogers on November 29th from 4 pm to 5 pm at Thornton Library.
