Hawg in the Holler Charity Music Festival – April 29th from 2pm to 11 pm
Vino Oasi, an aspiring winery/event center in Stem & country artist, Tim Cifers have partnered to bring a unique community music festival. Come out for an all-day family-friendly event with an array of musical talent that benefits a local charity. There will be four musical acts throughout the day and local vendors selling their wares. This performers will be McMullers Crossroads, The Castaways, Tim Cifers and The Konnection Band. Stovall Baptist Church will be presenting an Easter drama entitled "I Know My Redeemer Lives" on Saturday, April 8th & 9th and 14th & 15th at 7:30 pm nightly. Delrayno Baptist will present "The Living Last Supper" on April 13th at 7 pm. This is a short, but powerful melodrama about the reflection and inner turmoil of each disciple when Jesus announced he would be betrayed by one of them. Vino Oasi is a relaxing, rustic destination to enjoy any special occasion and an upcoming vineyard in Stem. They host several events during spring. On April 19th, May 3rd, 17th, 31st and June 14th & 28th they will host Wine Down Wednesday from 5:30 pm to 8:30 pm. Stop by after work and bring new neighbors, friends and family to Vino Oasi to tour the space, while enjoying some nibbles. Beer and wine available for purchase.

The Granville County Cattlemen Association will host a Beef Roast on April 28th at the Granville Expo Center on Highway 15 south in Oxford from 4 pm to 7 pm. The meal includes a weighed amount of beef, approximately 10 ounces, with barbeque sauce, green beans, baked potato, and rolls. Tickets are $10 each and can be purchased by calling 919/693-7651 or 919/603-4806. Tickets may also be purchased at the door and your can take out or eat in the expo center.
Granville Library System will host "Holocaust Survivor: Abe Piasek" at Thornton Library in Oxford on April 26th from 3 pm to 4:00 pm. Join us in hearing Mr. Piasek about his experience in concentration camps during World War II and his life afterward. For more information contact 919-693-1121.
