Where We Are
The Granville County Tourism Development Authority (GCTDA) was formed in 1999 by NC House Bill 1748. The TDA is managed by a board of 7 Directors; 2 hotel/motel owners, 1 appointed by the Granville County Chamber of Commerce, 1 appointed by the Granville County Commissioners, and 1 appointed from each of the 3 town councils; including Town of Butner, City of Creedmoor and City of Oxford. The GCTDA is fully funded from a 6% occupancy tax collected from lodging accommodations throughout the county and managed by Granville County Finance Department.
The mission of the Granville County Tourism Development Authority is to promote the economic growth of the county through tourism promotion by attracting visitors and providing recreational, historical and cultural opportunities.
